Atlantic Mortgage takes accessibility to the internet by everyone seriously, including users with disabilities or impairments that occur with aging.
Design of this site was done using accessibility best practices and standards defined by Section 508 of the U.S. Rehabilitation Act and international accessibility standards defined by the level "A" Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) of the World Wide Web Consortium Web Accessibility Initiative (W3C WAI).
Pages on this site meet the following set of accessibility requirements which include:
- Link which allows screen reader users to skip navigation links in order to get quickly to the main content of the page
- Proper markup for identifying page titles
- Providing text equivalents for images and image map hot spots
- Providing null text equivalents on decorative images
- Identifying row and column headers for data tables
- Programmatically associating labels with form fields using validated "XHTML 1.0 Strict" markup language
- Supporting browser settings for enlarging text
- Style sheets using consistent navigation mechanisms and style of presentation throughout the site
- Keyboard (tab key) navigation of web pages
- Identifying the primary natural language of each page
- Essential page functions do not require use of javascript
- Accessible HTML alternative versions of scalar vector graphic and vector markup language content
